Mirrors are an essential part in all bathrooms. Although there are many ways to fix them, we propose the simplest and cleanest, thanks to which you can do without nails and drills.

The choice of the right product is just as important as applying it correctly, below we explain how to fix a mirror with neutral silicone, using our Silicone Mirrows, or if you prefer an MS Polymer as it’s our Sintex MS-33 Mirrors.

HOW TO APPLY THE ADHESIVE CORRECTLY:

When you use an MS Polymer:

Surfaces must be healthy, clean and dry. In some cases, a mechanical treatment or cleaning with a non-fatty solvent, for example acetone, will be necessary.

Once the surface is ready, apply the adhesive on one of the surfaces to be joined, in thin, discontinuous and vertical cords that allow the subsequent air circulation, and press the panel on the substrate avoiding rectifications as much as possible. In many cases, it will be convenient to hold the panel with chocks or other system for a minimum of 24-48 hours.

When using Silicone Mirrors:

The surfaces to be sealed must be clean and dry. It’s convenient to clean with a non-fatty solvent such as acetone.

In heavy panels where Silicone Mirrors is going to be subjected to great efforts, we recommend the use of a suitable Primer such as Primer C-27 product specially developed to be applied on porous materials, some non-porous (some diverse metals and some plastics) and general use in construction.

To apply the product correctly, cut the end of the cartridge shutter, screw the cannula and bevel it to the desired section. Finally, introduce the assembly into the applicator gun.

After these previous steps, the product will be applied in the same way as the MS Polymer, explained above. It should be borne in mind that in the case of large panels, they must be secured by means of chocks or another system until the product has cured, normally no more than 2 days.
